For most people, summer is a time of peace and relaxation away from work. Not for us. We’re hard at work to bring you new features and services. Hot on the heels of last week’s Weemss update that brought numerous quality-of-life improvements across the board, now we are releasing one of the most requested features – the ability to clone your events.
To clone an event in Weemss you need to go to the Organization dashboard, by clicking either on the classy Weemss logo in the upper-left corner of your browser window, or the name of the organization on the Main menu. There you can see a list of your events created in Weemss and a new menu arrow, that lets you clone the event, or delete it. The menu arrow sits at the end of each row. Here’s a screenshot to get a clearer picture:
What gets cloned, what doesn’t
The event cloning feature has one purpose – to save you some time and effort when creating a similar event to one you’ve already created in Weemss. The new cloned event is an exact copy of the event that you have cloned.
All settings are cloned except:
- Promo codes
- Custom emails you may have created
- Judges if it’s an awards competition
We’ve added these contextual menu arrows to other tables in Weemss. Fox example the table with your Check-in lists now has a similar-looking menu arrow that lets you edit or delete a list faster.
Attack of the event clones
Do not be afraid of the clones. A cloned event is just like any other event in Weemss. In fact it’s an exact copy of an event that you created. This was a very requested feature and we had to make it happen! We’ve still got a lot of exciting new features and services en route, but that doesn’t mean we are done accepting ideas and feature requests.
